Judging
Stage One
The initial shortlisting takes place in August.
Each category is assigned to a panel who debate and discuss each entrant against the rigorous criteria set in place for each category. This is based purely on the entry form and support material that has been received prior to the close of entry deadline.
At the end of the judging the panel decide on the finalists for that category. Each category will have 4 finalists.
Every applicant will be contacted, regardless of the result by the end of August.
Stage Two
After the finalists are announced in early September, each will undergo a mystery visit and an interview with a Publican journalist.
Stage Three
In early October a panel of independent industry experts come together to judge the finalists, based on their original entries and the results of the mystery visit.
Please note that all winners are announced on the night of The Publican Food and Drink Awards – Tuesday 11th November 2008
